The App may collect information related to your sobriety journey, including:

  • Sponsor and support network contacts
  • Emergency contacts and meeting records
  • Step work progress and journal entries
  • Personal goals and check-in data
  • Voice recordings and communications
  • Call logs and communication records

2.5 Communication and Call Data

When you use communication features, we may collect call logs, voice recordings, text messages, timestamps, and crisis intervention audio.

When enabled, authorized support network members may listen to communications to identify warning signs. You control access and can revoke it anytime.

3. Use of Your Personal Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain Services: Deliver sobriety tracking, progress monitoring, and support network management
  • Facilitate communications: Connect you with sponsors, accountability partners, and emergency contacts
  • Provide relapse intervention: Monitor communications with consent to identify warning signs
  • Enable crisis response: Contact emergency contacts when help is requested or indicators detected
  • Comply with legal obligations: Meet HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 requirements

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share, sell, or trade your information with third parties except with your consent or as described here.

4.1 With Your Explicit Consent

We share information with your support network only when you authorize us:

  • With sponsors when added to your network
  • With emergency contacts when protocols triggered
  • With accountability partners for check-ins
  • With authorized listeners for intervention monitoring

You control what is shared and can revoke access anytime.

Important: Relapse Intervention

Enabling intervention monitoring means you consent to let designated members access and listen to communications for early intervention. You can disable this anytime.

4.3 Service Providers

We may share information with service providers who help operate our Services (hosting, analytics, security, support, payments). They are contractually obligated to protect your information.

4.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information when legally required, including for legal processes, government requests, fraud investigations, or emergencies to prevent imminent harm.

5. Sensitive Information & Special Protections

5.1 Substance Use Disorder Information

Recovery information is extremely sensitive and protected under federal law (42 CFR Part 2) and HIPAA. We take extra precautions:

  • All recovery data is encrypted at rest and in transit
  • Access strictly limited to authorized personnel
  • Never shared without explicit written consent
  • Detailed audit logs maintained
  • Full HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 compliance

5.2 Your Control Over Information Sharing

You have complete control:

  • Granular permissions for each contact
  • Revocable access anytime
  • Individual communication controls
  • Monitoring controls for intervention
  • Emergency overrides for life-threatening situations

Important: In situations of imminent danger, we may override certain settings to contact emergency services with critical information.

6. Deletion of Personal Information

You have the right to request deletion of your Personal Information, subject to certain exceptions.

To delete your account:

  1. Go to Settings in your account
  2. Select Delete Account option
  3. Confirm your deletion request

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable timeframe.
